Nut corners a la Siaba

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 130 g butter
  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 200 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • ½ jar apricot jam
  • 100 g chocolate coating (milk chocolate coating)

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours

Dough: Mix all ingredients until smooth and then chill for 1 hour. Topping: Melt butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Stir in the hazelnuts. Let the mixture cool. Roll out the dough into a rectangular sheet on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread with apricot jam. Spread the nut mixture on top and smooth it with a knife. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Cut into corners while lukewarm, let cool, and then dip the corners and the melted chocolate coating. Let dry. I always cut very small nut wedges—it’s easier to handle and looks like more.
