Spicy tomato soup

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 500 g bacon
  • 500 g vegetable onions
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 8 can/n tomatoes, in pieces, each approx. 400 g
  • ½ tsp marjoram
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 3 cubes of stock
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 750 g Bratwurst, fine, fresh
  • 1 pack of herbs (8-herb mixture), frozen
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Party soup

Finely chop the bacon, onions, and vegetables. Brown the bacon and onions in oil, then add the vegetables and season. Braise briefly. Then add the tomatoes and broth and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the 8-herb mixture and marjoram, and season with salt and cayenne pepper. Remove the sausage from its skin, form into small balls, and add to the soup. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Finally, add the cup of cream.
