Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 375 g bacon (breakfast bacon)
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 300 g peas, frozen
  • 200 g cream cheese (herbs)
  • 50 ml cream, a little more if needed
  • 500 g pasta (farfalle, green pasta or porcini mushroom pasta)
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly oil or butter, flavored with truffles

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the bacon into strips about 1 cm wide. Finally, clean and slice the mushrooms. Now fry the bacon without fat over high heat in a large pot or pan. As soon as the fat has separated from the bacon, reduce the heat to about ¾ and add the onions and garlic. After everything has cooked for about 3 minutes, add the mushrooms, peas, cream, and herb cream cheese and mix well. Now simmer everything for 10 minutes, season with salt and pepper, and then add the pasta, cooked according to the package instructions. If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it out a bit with more cream or milk. The sauce tastes great when refined with truffle oil or truffle butter.
