- ½ pack of baking powder
- 200 g flour

Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Apple pie made from grated apples sprinkled with coconut flakes
Beat the eggs, sugar, and salt until frothy. Gradually add the milk and the sifted flour with the baking powder, a spoonful at a time. Fold the melted, cooled margarine into the batter. Pour the batter into a greased, breadcrumb-lined springform pan (26-28 cm diameter) and spread it evenly. Mix the grated apples with the 3 tablespoons of sugar and the custard powder and spread it evenly over the batter. Sprinkle a handful of desiccated coconut over the apple mixture. Bake the whole thing at 190-200°C for about 40-50 minutes. Another tip: If you like, you can also add raisins to the apple mixture. The batter is also very suitable for plum cake. Instead of the apple mixture, simply spread plums on the batter and sprinkle the hot cake with sugar after baking.
