Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 ml apple juice
- 1 pkt. gelling sugar, 2:1
- 1 point citric acid
- 1 piece(s) cinnamon, whole
- 1 vanilla pod(s), slit
- 2 carnations
- 5 grains of allspice
- ½ almond(s) (bitter almond), grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Combine everything in a sufficiently large pot, bring to a boil, and simmer for at least 4 minutes. Then test for settling; let it simmer a little longer if necessary. Sterilize the twist-off jars, pour a little Calvados into one half and Amaretto into the other half (honey mead would probably work too). Remove the seasonings from the jelly and pour the hot jelly into the prepared jars. Seal immediately and let cool. Of course, the jelly tastes just as good without alcohol.
