Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 300 g butter
  • 300 g sugar
  • 5 eggs, separated
  • 250 g flour
  • 50 g cocoa powder, dark
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 200 ml cream
  • 300 ml milk
  • 3 tbsp semolina
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 200 g desiccated coconut
  • 1 pack of rum flavoring
  • 200 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For the filling, bring the milk, cream, and semolina to a boil briefly, then stir in the sugar, rum flavoring, and desiccated coconut. Allow to cool. For the pastry, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy, gradually adding the egg yolks. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form, then add to the egg yolk mixture. Sift the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder over the mixture. Carefully fold everything in. Pour half of the batter into a greased springform pan, spread the filling evenly over the surface, and spread the remaining batter on top. Bake at 175°C (fan oven) for about 45 minutes. Once cooled, cover with the chocolate coating.
