Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 tbsp sour cream
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • Herbs of Provence
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • pepper
  • 1 shot of cognac

Instructions

Sauce for potatoes, fish or meat

Combine equal amounts of sour cream and olive oil in a saucepan, set the stovetop over medium heat, and mix well. Add Provençal herbs (to taste), mustard, and soy sauce. Season with pepper. Stir everything thoroughly and finish with a dash of cognac. Sauce Bretagnoise (a sauce from Brittany, France) is delicious with fish and potatoes, but also goes well with meat.
