Cold spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 shallots
  • 2 tsp anchovy paste
  • 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 60 ml water
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Herbs, Italian
  • Tabasco

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 10 minutes

Peel and finely chop the shallots. Lightly thin the tomato paste with water. Add the shallots and stir. Add the anchovy paste and mustard and stir well. Season to taste with pepper, salt, the herb mix, and paprika. Crush the garlic and stir in. Season to taste and adjust the seasoning if desired. Finally, season with Tabasco for desired spiciness. Let stand overnight.
