Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 6 pork chops
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 pinches of pepper
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 large onions
- 250 g mushrooms
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 100 ml white wine, maybe a little more
- 12 tbsp cream
- 200 g cheese, grated, mild
Instructions

Rub the cut sides of the halved garlic clove, 1 teaspoon of salt, and a pinch of pepper all over the chops. Fry the chops in 1.5 tablespoons of butter for five minutes on each side and place in a large, ovenproof dish. Melt the remaining butter in a pan and sauté the chopped onions and the trimmed, sliced mushrooms. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir in the white wine and cream and bring to a boil. Spread this mixture over the chops and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake the dish at 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) until the cheese is golden brown.
