Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 100 g margarine, soft
- 225 g sugar, fine
- 2 large eggs
- 150 g natural yogurt
- 5 tbsp milk
- 275 g flour
- 4 tbsp baking powder
- 175 g chocolate shavings (dark)

Line the muffin tin wells with paper liners. Whisk margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually whisk in the eggs, yogurt, and milk. Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture and whisk until smooth. Stir in the chocolate shavings and divide the batter between the cases. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 25 minutes, until a metal skewer inserted into the batter comes out clean. Let the muffins stand for 5 minutes, then remove from the tin and cool completely on a wire rack. Variation: For chocolate-orange muffins, add 5 tablespoons of orange juice and the grated zest of one orange instead of the milk. This batter also makes 6 large or 24 mini muffins. The baking time for the mini muffins is 10 minutes.
