Nut corners with marzipan

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g butter
  • 200 g marzipan
  • 300 g almond flakes
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g cake icing
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • Grease for the tray
  • possibly brandy

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Make a shortcrust pastry from the first 6 ingredients. Roll out or press onto a greased baking sheet. Grate the marzipan mixture into a bowl using a household grater. Add the almonds (or 2 tablespoons of brandy to taste). Melt the remaining butter in a saucepan, add the crème fraîche, sugar, and vanilla sugar, and bring to a boil. Pour this mixture over the marzipan and almond mixture and mix. Spread the nut mixture evenly over the dough and smooth it down. Bake at 175°C (preheat) on the second rack from the bottom for about 25 minutes. Let cool. Cut into squares and divide these into triangles. Brush the tips or sides with liquid cake icing.
