Energy Balls: Hazelnut Chocolate Balls

The perfect energy balls: hazelnut chocolate balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 125 g Hazelnuts
  • 200 g Medjoul dates pitted
  • 2 tbsp Hazelnut butter
  • 2 tbsp Raw cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp Oat flakes, ground
  • 1 pinch Sea-Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa nibs
  • 1 Msp Cinnamon
  • 1 Msp Cardamom
  • 2 tsp Hemp protein powder optional
  1. Roast the hazelnuts on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 175 degrees top / bottom heat for about 10 minutes. Then let it cool down and remove the brown skins with your hands. Alternatively, you can roast the nuts in a pan for a few minutes. Then roughly chop the nuts in the blender and set aside.
  2. Crush the dates in the blender with the hazelnut butter until a sticky mass is formed.
  3. Then add all the other ingredients and mix together. Shape into walnut-sized balls with your hands. Store in the refrigerator for at least an hour before consumption.
