Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 125 g margarine, soft
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 cup(s) poppy seeds, unground
  • 1 cup(s) flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 pudding powder, vanilla
  • ½ piece(s) butter
  • 1 almond(s), ground
  • butter
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine all ingredients, including the baking powder, and carefully stir in the 4 stiffly beaten egg whites at the end. Bake the batter in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes. Cook the vanilla pudding according to the instructions. Beat half the butter until soft and stir it into the cooked pudding a spoonful at a time. Spread the buttercream onto the cold base. Lightly toast a small packet of ground almonds with butter and sugar and garnish the cream with it.
