Tomatoes – Shipli

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g noodles (shipli)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 120 g cooked ham
  • 1 cup of cream or Cremefine
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • ¼ bunch oregano
  • ¼ bunch basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pasta with cooked ham and tomato sauce

Cook the shipli in salted water with olive oil until al dente, then drain. Meanwhile, heat butter in a pan and sauté finely chopped onions until translucent. Add the finely diced ham and sauté briefly. Stir in the tomato paste and top with cream. Season generously with salt, pepper, sugar, and cayenne pepper and reduce the sauce. Add the shipli to the sauce, toss well, and then stir in the finely chopped herbs.
