Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g potatoes
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Vegetable broth, granulated
  • 60 g cheese (Gouda)

The quantities given correspond to the amount needed for a side dish. If you use 1.5 times the amount, the gratin also serves as a main course for 4. Cook the potatoes in their jacket potatoes. Let cool, peel, and slice. Arrange in a greased baking dish. Whisk together the cream, milk, and seasonings and pour over the potatoes. Finely grate the cheese and sprinkle over the gratin. Bake at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
