simple, with few ingredients

Wash the strawberries, remove the green parts and stems, and cut the berries into smaller pieces. Put half a tablespoon of powdered sugar into each of two dessert bowls, then add some of the strawberries. Repeat this process a few more times until all the strawberries are gone. Finally, divide a tablespoon of powdered sugar between each bowl and let it sit for about 30 minutes, until the sugar has dissolved. Meanwhile, whip the cream with about half a tablespoon of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over the strawberries and serve. If the strawberries lack flavor, simply add more sugar.
