Tomato sauce with tomato pieces for pizza

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ tube(s) tomato paste
  • some water
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s), as needed
  • lots of salt
  • lots of pepper
  • lots of oregano
  • lots of paprika powder
  • lots of herbs (herbs of Provence)
  • lots of basil
  • possibly spice mix (pizza seasoning)
  • 1 tomato(s), more if needed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

First, put the tomato paste in a bowl and thin it with a little water. Then finely chop the onion and garlic and add it. You can’t skimp on the spices, so add quite a bit of everything! You can also use pizza seasoning. Then I chop up 1-2 tomatoes and add them to the sauce. Don’t forget the olive oil. Season to taste every now and then. The sauce doesn’t have the consistency of a real sauce, but I like it when there are decent chunks of tomato in the sauce and not just on the pizza itself. If you have any leftover sauce, it can also be used as a pasta sauce.
