Jasmine tea macchiato

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 tsp green tea (jasmine tea)
  • 250 ml water
  • 100 ml milk
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Bring the water to a boil and let it cool briefly. For green tea, the water should be around 80°C; I simply prepare the milk in the meantime. I pour the milk into the glass that will later be served, along with the desired amount of sugar. If you like it very sweet, you can of course use more. Then I heat the milk in the microwave and then froth it with the milk frother. Meanwhile, the water has cooled slightly. I pour the tea into a strainer—2 teaspoons might be a bit much, but if it’s mixed with the milk, the delicious aroma will evaporate. Pour the tea as usual and let it steep for a while. Then, using a spoon or a pitcher, gently pour it into the milk (like with a latte macchiato). Tip: Also delicious with chai or Earl Grey.
