Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 50 g sugar
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 300 g wheat flour type 550
  • 8 g baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 125 g yeast water
  • Lemon zest
  • ½ lemon(s), juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 25 minutes

Beat the eggs, sugar, and butter with a whisk. Stir in the remaining ingredients with a spoon. Heat up the Belgian waffle iron, grease it, and bake about 9 waffles one after the other.
