Homemade ginger tea

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 40 g ginger
  • 1 liter of water
  • 1 tbsp sugar (granulated sugar) or brown sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 2 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 17 minutes

Can help with colds, coughs, loss of appetite, stomach upset, etc.

Finely chop the ginger and boil water in a kettle. Pour a little water (about 1 cm to cover the bottom of the pot) into the pot. When the water starts to boil, add the ginger and sugar. Let it boil for at least half a minute. Add the boiled water and simmer over low heat for 10-15 minutes. Depending on your taste, you can then strain the tea or enjoy it straight into a cup with the ginger pieces.
