Bay leaf potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g potatoes, small
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp sea salt, coarse
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Pepper, coarsely ground

Preheat the oven to approximately 180°C. Wash the potatoes and peel them if desired. Halve the potatoes and place them cut-side up in a small baking dish. Break the bay leaves into four pieces. Score the tops of the potatoes about 1/2 cm deep and insert a piece of bay leaf into each potato. Sprinkle the olive oil, salt, caraway seeds, and pepper over the potatoes and cook at 180-200°C on the middle rack for approximately 45 minutes.
