Nut macaroons

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 300 g nuts, ground
  • 150 g sugar
  • ½ bottle of bitter almond flavor
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 pack of hazelnuts, whole kernels
  • 1 pack of wafers, small

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Makes about 50 pieces.

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Add the bitter almond oil, then fold in the sugar and ground nuts. Stir the Nutella into the mixture. Drop small heaps of the macaroons with a teaspoon. Place a whole hazelnut on each macaroon. Bake in a preheated oven at approximately 150°C (fan oven) for approximately 20 minutes.
