Buttermilk banana mousse with chocolate drops

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 120 g banana(s)
  • 1 dashes lime juice
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 120 g buttermilk
  • 150 g whipped cream
  • 3 sheets of gelatin
  • Water, cold, for soaking
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips

Instructions

Working time approx. 12 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 12 minutes

Peel the banana and puree it with the lime juice and sugar. Soak the gelatin in cold water. Whip the cream until stiff. Dissolve the gelatin and stir in some of the banana mixture, then stir it all into the remaining banana mixture. Fold in the cream and chocolate chips. Allow the mixture to set. Cut out dumplings or fill molds and let set for at least 4 hours. Serve with fruit compote, for example.
