Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 m.-sized apples (Cox Orange or Boskoop)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 60 g walnuts, chopped
  • 60 g raisins, soaked in rum
  • 5 tbsp jelly (apple jelly)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

for those who don’t like marzipan

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (160 degrees Celsius for fan-assisted oven). Grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of butter. Wash the apples and generously core them. Place all the apples side by side in the dish. Mix the nuts with the raisins, cinnamon, honey, and apple jelly and fill the apples with the mixture. Place the remaining butter on top in small pieces. Bake for about 30 minutes. Serve with homemade vanilla sauce or ice cream.
