Finnish almond apples

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large apples
  • 8 tbsp almonds, chopped
  • 80 g honey
  • 5 m.-sized eggs
  • 10 tbsp cream
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp oat flakes
  • Butter, for the mold
  • Almond(s), sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Halve the apples and scoop out the flesh with an apple corer. Mix the chopped almonds with the honey (80 g). Now fill the apple halves with the almond mixture. Place everything in a (buttered) ovenproof dish. Whisk the eggs, cream, 2 tablespoons of honey, and the oats, pour over the apples, and sprinkle with the flaked almonds. Bake in the oven at 180°C for approximately 20-25 minutes. Gas Mark 2
