Bison steak with salicorn

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 entrecôte(s) of bison, 250 g each
  • 150 g salicorns (samphire)
  • 1 small onion(s), red
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • n. B. Pfeffer

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

80 degree method

Place a shallow dish in the oven and preheat the oven to 80 degrees Celsius. Heat the oil in a heavy pan and sear the steaks on both sides. Then place them in the dish. Thinly slice the onion and garlic. Sauté the salicorns, onion, and garlic in the pan. Once everything has browned, immediately place them on top of the steaks. The steaks need about 30 minutes in the oven (medium/rare).
