Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

a great pan dish that showcases the totally underrated kohlrabi

Peel the kohlrabi, slice it, and then cut it into sticks. Wash the steak, pat it dry, and then cut it into finger-thick strips. Season them lightly with salt and pepper. Place a pan on the stove and heat it until very hot. Briefly fry the steak strips in 1 tablespoon of oil, then remove it from the pan. Add the kohlrabi pieces to the pan and fry for 2 minutes, then deglaze with the stock and add the herbs. Cook the kohlrabi for 5 minutes over medium heat until tender, then stir in the crème fraîche. If the stock has reduced too much, add a little more. Return the steak strips to the pan and let them come to room temperature briefly, then serve with rice or potatoes.
