  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • lettuce
  • tomato(s)
  • spring onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

meatless & delicious

First, drain the corn. Finely puree half of the corn (using an immersion blender), add the fried onions (this adds a slightly smoky flavor), and blend briefly again. Add the eggs and cream, then stir in the flour and baking powder. Finally, stir in the remaining corn. Let stand briefly, then add the batter, spoonful by spoonful, to a hot pan with a little oil and fry/fry to make burgers. If the batter is too runny, add a little flour. Tastes delicious on Golden Toast wheat toasties or homemade whole-wheat rolls. Garnish with a few tasty lettuce leaves, spring onion rings, and a tomato slice. A bit of ketchup and mayo—delicious! Or simply serve with a fresh green salad. Enjoy!
