Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg potato(s), waxy
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 tsp turmeric (turmeric root)
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 bunch parsley, flat
  • Water
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Alu Turcarri – seasoned potatoes, delicious even without side dishes

Peel, wash, and quarter the potatoes. Fry in butter for 5-7 minutes, dust with turmeric. Pour in water until the potatoes are just covered, add salt to taste, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes with the lid slightly ajar. Serve with chopped parsley.
