Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g natural yogurt (1.5% fat)
  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 250 g cream substitute (Rama Cremefine for whipping)
  • 400 g ladyfingers
  • 750 g apple sauce, unsweetened
  • e.g. apple juice
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • e.g. vanilla sugar

The day before, place the yogurt in a sieve lined with kitchen paper and let it drain overnight. Combine the quark and drained yogurt in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, whip the Cremefine until stiff peaks form and fold into the quark mixture. Sweeten everything with as much vanilla sugar as desired. Place a layer of ladyfingers in a baking dish – sugar-side down – and soak in apple juice. Then spread a layer of applesauce on the ladyfingers and sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Then add a layer of yogurt cream. Repeat layers until all the ingredients are used up, making sure to finish with the cream. Then refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon again before serving.
