Quinoa porridge

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 ml water or milk or mixed
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 20 g quinoa flakes
  • 40 g oat flakes
  • n.e. spice(s), e.g. E.g. cinnamon, clove(s), cardamom, anise…

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Single recipe from the microwave

Pour the liquid into a microwave-safe bowl, add the sugar, and heat in the microwave on high for 2 minutes, covered. Remove the bowl, add the flakes, and mix well. Heat in the microwave for another 1-1.5 minutes, covered, keeping an eye on the first attempt to prevent it from boiling over. The porridge heats up at different speeds depending on the microwave and the bowl used. Let it swell, covered, in the microwave for about another 5 minutes. Season to taste before serving. The quinoa flakes give the porridge a lovely nutty flavor.
