Mashed Potatoes Baked with Onions and Cheese

The perfect mashed potatoes baked with onions and cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 750 g Freshly peeled potatoes
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Onions
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp Freshly chopped rosemary
  • 200 g Cheddar cheese
  • 200 g Gorgonzola
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 1 tsp Seasoned salt from my KB
  • 1 tsp Garlic pepper from my KB
  • 1 tsp Freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Tellicherry pepper
  • 50 g Freshly grated Parmesan
  1. FINALLY A CHILLY POTATO MREAD! 😀 Boil potatoes in salted water. Meanwhile, peel the onions and garlic. Dice the onions and finely grate the garlic! Grate the cheese finely! I don’t like gorgonzola! Depending on the taste, the cheese can be exchanged! 🙂
  2. Heat the butter and oil in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown. Just before the end, briefly sizzle with the garlic and rosemary.
  3. Mash the potatoes with the cream, onion mixture, garlic pepper, seasoned salt! Then fold in the cheese and season with nutmeg and pepper!

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees!

  1. Grease a baking dish and use two spoons (dip the spoon into water again and again) cut off the cams from the potato mixture and place in the dish!
  2. Sprinkle with Parmesan and bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes!
  3. Serve! There was also beef fillet steak & almond broccoli!
