Egg cream in a glass with fruit

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g sugar
  • 15 g butter
  • 250 g fruit

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Bring the cornstarch, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, and butter to a boil. Quickly stir in the egg yolks and remove the pan from the heat. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Pour the cream into glasses and let cool. Top with the prepared fruit and serve with whipped cream separately.
