Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g bread(s), stale
  • 500 g apples
  • 1 tbsp butter, more if needed
  • 50 g sugar, or to your taste
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • 1 dl apple juice, as needed
  • Raisins

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

my mother did it like that

Cut the bread into small pieces and fry them slowly in butter. Add the peeled, finely chopped apples, cover, and fry, turning frequently, until the apples are soft. Add sugar and cinnamon, turn again, and you have a delicious dinner that even children will love. You can add raisins to taste, or a little apple juice for those who prefer a juicier dish.
