Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 900 g sour cherries (without cherry stones)
  • 125 ml red wine
  • 1 dashes lemon juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar, 1 : 1
  • 1 bunch lemon balm, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

with red wine and lemon balm

Combine the prepared cherries with the lemon juice in a large, deep saucepan and puree. Stir in the red wine. Add the gelling sugar. Bring to a boil while stirring. Boil gently for 4 minutes from the boil. If desired, stir in the chopped lemon balm after 3 minutes of cooking.
