Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g orange(s), untreated, prepared (navel)
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 pkt. gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 2 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 2 days 34 minutes

according to Brazilian recipe

Peel one orange and cut it into small pieces. Wash the other oranges, then grate the peel and cut the flesh into small pieces. Freeze the orange pieces for 2 days. After thawing, puree half of the orange pulp. Add 500 ml of water (for 1 kg of oranges, use 1 liter of water) and the gelling sugar, and bring to a rolling boil for 4 minutes.
