Chili jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 8 chili peppers, red, fresh (alternatively green peppers)
  • 500 g gelling sugar (2 : 1)
  • 500 ml apple juice
  • 300 ml vinegar (fruit vinegar or other)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Deseed and finely chop the chili peppers. Then add them to a pot with the remaining ingredients and simmer for 4-6 minutes. Pour the hot jam into prepared jars, seal, turn upside down, and let cool. Note: The jam is very spicy, but can certainly be reduced by using fewer peppers. Those with sensitive skin should wear gloves (e.g., disposable gloves) when handling the chili peppers.
