Blackberry jam with cherry wine

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 850 g blackberries, peeled and weighed
  • 150 ml wine (cherry wine)
  • 1 kg gelling sugar (1:1)
  • some citric acid, if necessary

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 34 minutes

fruity and delicious

First, puree the blackberries with a hand blender. Then add the cherry wine. Bring to a boil along with the gelling sugar. If you don’t see any noticeable gelling effect after 3 minutes, add a little citric acid and continue simmering for about 4 minutes. Then pour the mixture into clean jars while still hot.
