Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 kg peach(s)
  • 1 pkt. gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 15 minutes

Peel the peaches with a vegetable peeler, remove the stones, and finely chop them. Weigh out 1 kg of the flesh, mix it with the preserving sugar and vanilla sugar, and let it sit for a few hours. Boil the mixture for 3 minutes at a rolling boil. Pour into hot, rinsed jars and seal. Turn the jars upside down for 5 minutes. Wrap the jars in cloths to protect them from drafts and let them cool. (Tip from my grandma). Makes about 4 jars.
