  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 1 pack of chocolate (cat tongues)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp cream or milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

easy, even for children to bake themselves

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat). Spread out the puff pastry and first divide it lengthwise. Then divide each half widthwise into four equal pieces. Place two cat’s tongues, one behind the other, in the center of each piece of puff pastry. Other chocolate will work too; cat’s tongues are the right size and we really like them. Now roll from the edges toward the center to enclose the chocolate. Then divide each parcel in half again and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Mix the egg yolk with the cream and brush the parcels with the mixture. Then bake for about 15 minutes on the middle rack at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
