Advent jelly with a Christmas flavor

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml elderberry juice, sweetened
  • 500 ml apple juice, naturally cloudy and sweetened
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated, juice and zest
  • 2 bags of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. clove powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 15 g citric acid
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar 3:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 29 minutes

own creation

Combine all of the above ingredients in a saucepan, stir, and dissolve the gelling sugar. Then boil for 4 minutes according to the instructions. Immediately pour into cleaned, hot twist-off jars and seal tightly. The jelly is also ideal for Christmas baking, for cookies like the “Spitzbuben” cookies in my profile, made from shortcrust pastry.
