Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 ml water
- 500 ml milk
- 2 ½ tsp tea (black tea)
- 2 cardamom, whole
- 4 tsp sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 3 minutes
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer gently for 10 minutes. The cardamoms can be slit and scraped to release their flavor. The chai will still taste good without them, but it won’t be quite as African. Strain the chai and serve in a teapot.
