After Eight Liqueur

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 ml milk (whole milk)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 g couverture, 64% cocoa content
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g candy(s), (Werther’s Original)
  • 300 ml rum, white, or vodka
  • 7 drops of flavoring (Japanese medicinal plant oil, e.g. Oleo Ment)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 2 days; Total time approx. 2 days 15 minutes

without the well-known “tablets”

Gently heat all ingredients, except for the rum or vodka and the Japanese medicinal plant oil, in a saucepan (at about 80°C) until the chopped chocolate and candies have dissolved. Then blend thoroughly with a hand blender. Once everything has cooled slightly, add the vodka and the Japanese medicinal plant oil (note: only use 7 drops for this amount!), blend again, and bottle. Let the liqueur rest for 2 days and then serve well chilled. Tip: If the liqueur is too sweet or has too little alcohol, you can make the flavor a little more alcoholic and therefore less sweet by adding a shot of dark rum.
