Allgäu Cheese Slices with Salad
The perfect allgäu cheese slices with salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the toast
- 4 Discs Whole grain toast
- 20 g Butter
- 70 g Cheese (Gouda, gratin cheese … as desired)
- Handful of chopped parsley
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 1 Pc. Clove of garlic (possibly smoked)
- Seasoned Salt
- White pepper from the mill
- Freshly grated nutmeg
For the salad
- 1 Pc. Lettuce heart
- 10 Pc. Party tomatoes
- Mediterranean seasoned salt
- Mediterranean pepper mix from the mill
- 3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Pc. Spring onion
- Wash the salad and shake dry, then cut into strips. Wash and halve the tomatoes, clean the spring onions and cut into oblique rings. Mix everything together and mix with seasoned salt, pepper mixture and olive oil. Let something go through.
- Clean and finely chop the garlic. Mix with cheese and egg. Then add the herbs and season well.
- Heat the butter in a pan. Spread the cheese and egg mixture on the toast slices and place them with the coated side down in the hot butter. Reduce the heat, put the lid on and fry for about 5 minutes. the cheese should be golden and melted easily.
