Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 g flour
  • Almond flakes
  • Dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 14 minutes; Total time approx. 44 minutes

Separate the eggs and mix the egg whites with the marzipan mixture until smooth, ensuring there are no lumps. Sift the flour finely and gradually knead it into the marzipan mixture along with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and line a baking tray with baking paper. Divide the dough into six pieces and shape into flat croissants. Place them on a prepared baking tray. Brush the center of the croissants with the beaten egg yolk and top with flaked almonds. Bake in the hot oven for about 14 minutes. Please note that every oven is different! After baking, let the croissants cool. Dip the tips into the heated, melted chocolate coating and let them dry on the baking paper.
