Almond Marble Cake

The perfect almond marble cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 7 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 400 g Ground almonds
  • 180 ml Oil
  • 2 tsp Cocoa
  • 140 g Sugar

The cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
  1. Separate 2 / 3 of the eggs and set the egg whites aside. Separate the remaining 1/3 of the eggs and set the egg whites aside separately. Now mix the egg yolks with the oil and the almonds. Stir in sugar and baking soda. Then transfer 1/3 of the dough and mix with the cocoa. If necessary (try) add a little cocoa or sugar.
  1. Beat the larger amount of the egg whites until stiff and fold in the light batter. Put in a greased baking pan. Then beat the rest of the egg white until stiff and fold in the dark dough. Then distribute the dark on the light dough. Now in the oven for about 25 minutes. Check with the stick test whether it is good and then take it out and let it cool down.

Decoration

  1. Decoration: The decoration consists of fondant (except for the Playmobil child and Playmobil horse). The butterflies are made of sugar (sprinkle decoration). The 2 bushes are small muffins and the green meadow was made from green colored ground almonds. To do this, color the almonds with liquid food coloring, dry in the oven on low heat and grind again.

  1. Add some rum or amaretto to the dark batter, it tastes great and amaretto is also available non-alcoholic 🙂
