Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 g potatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces
- 400 g macaroons (pasta)
- Water, salted with a dash of oil
- 60 g butter
- 250 g bacon, diced
- 200 g onion(s), diced
- 80 g cheese (Sbrinz), grated
- 80 g cheese (Gruyère), grated
- 200 ml cream (half cream)
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Boil the potato pieces in salted water. After 5 minutes, add the macaroons and cook for another 10 minutes, then drain. Meanwhile, in a frying pan, sauté the bacon cubes in butter, add the onions, and sauté until soft. Mix the two cheeses. Bring the cream to a boil. Layer half of the potato/pasta in a gratin dish, then half of the bacon/onion mixture and half of the grated cheese. Repeat with the second half. Finally, pour the hot cream over the potatoes and bake briefly in the oven until the cheese has melted. Serve with cooked apple slices.
