Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 m.-large kohlrabi
- 5 slices of smoked meat
- 5 slices of Edam cheese
- 2 eggs
- some flour
- some breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- Seasoned salt
- some fat for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Peel the kohlrabi and cut into slices approximately 5 millimeters thick. Blanch them in salted water and pat dry. Top some kohlrabi slices with smoked meat and cheese, then cover each with a second kohlrabi slice. In three plates, arrange flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs. Whisk the eggs with the spices. Coat the kohlrabi parcels first in flour, then in the eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs. Fry the kohlrabi cordon bleus in a little fat until golden brown.
