Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 360 g yogurt
- 200 ml cream
- 150 g amarena cherries and amarena syrup from the jar
- 10 cherries (shake cherries, recipe from the database), fresh cherries or cherries from the jar
- 2 tbsp cherry liqueur (shaken cherry liqueur)
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp gelatin fix
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 15 minutes
fruity cherry ice cream with creamy esprit and a splash of liqueur
Halve half of the amarena cherries and set aside. Purée the remaining amarena cherries with the shaken cherries or fresh cherries, yogurt, gelatin fix, salt, liqueur, and 80g of powdered sugar. Add the cream, blend briefly, and taste for individual sweetness. Caution: The ice cream mixture must be considerably sweeter than we like before freezing, as the freezing process significantly reduces the sweetness. If the ice cream mixture doesn’t seem sweet enough with the 80g of powdered sugar, add the remaining 20g as well! If children are eating with the ice cream, omit the alcohol. However, it is important to note that the ice cream will lose its spreadability if stored in the freezer for a long time. Egg liqueur can also be used instead of cherry liqueur. Chill the ice cream mixture in the refrigerator for at least an hour before processing it in the ice cream maker. After about 20 minutes in the ice cream maker, fold in the halved amarena cherries before continuing the freezing process in the machine. The finished ice cream will still have a soft consistency when it comes out of the ice cream maker and should rest in the freezer for at least two hours before serving.
