Amaretto – marzipan – cake a la Mäusle

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 160 g butter, melted
  • 160 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 12 tbsp cream
  • 160 ml Amaretto
  • 200 g marzipan, cut into small pieces
  • 300 g spelt flour, fine
  • 1 pack of cream of tartar baking powder
  • 100 g almond(s), chopped
  • Butter and breadcrumbs for the mold (alternatively silicone mold)
  • e.g. powdered sugar or chocolate icing

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Food combining baking recipe

Butter and crumble a Bundt pan thoroughly (alternatively, rinse a silicone pan). Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) top/bottom heat. Cream the butter, sugar, egg yolks, cream, and salt until creamy. Stir in the Amaretto and marzipan. Mix the flour, baking powder, and almonds and add spoonfuls to the butter and egg yolk mixture. Immediately pour into the prepared pan, smooth the surface, and bake for 50 to 60 minutes (test with a skewer). Let cool for 15 minutes. Then turn out of the pan and let cool on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze with chocolate, if desired.
